   From Bruce Wampler, his grandfather is the youngest child and has an x over his head. Thought to be taken in Nebraska. Looks like end of summer with the hay in the background.

   It does look like summer, I imagine everything was quite green and lovely. Such a large family for that tiny sod house, it must have been quite cozy in the winter.
